NEW The Rector Major issues an invitation to strengthen the efforts for a positive education
(Rome) The Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr. Pascual Chávez, sent a message to Salesian communities throughout the world encouraging them to strengthen their efforts for a positive education. “Stop violence against children for a positive education without corporal punishment and cruel and degrading treatment,” is his appeal. He noted that Salesians must promote a positive education “in a world apparently twisting into a spiral of violence and oppression of those who are weaker and defenseless”.
